How trashy does the description of this thing sound?, 2008-09-29 I heard about this lamp and dismissed it as a trashy cheap sounding toy, but I was in Dublin recently and saw one in operation in a philips shop. It was actually kind of nice and because you can turn down the intensity of the colours a lot, it really manages to create a lot of different moods.
When I got it back home it was even better, in the evenings, in our white painted apartment, it could totally transform the look of the place. Light blues, deep greens, or hellish deep red, whatever the colour or intensity you want with the remote it only takes seconds to get it.
The lamp is nice and heavy, although a little top heavy, and the guy in the shop told me there was a stand for it but there was nothing in the box. The design is very Apple, and the remote is gorgeous even on it's own, with the glossy white finish and round spectrum to play with. It's also not infra-red, so you don't need line of sight with it.
I thought the price was pretty high, but now I'm starting to convince myself that one or two more wouldn't be such a bad purchase. Very recommended!

excellent gadget, 2007-11-28 i purchased this light to change my baby's nappies in the dark - turned out to be the best gadget i've bought in years. the light given off is sufficient to read by (change nappies etc) without lighting the whole room, it weighs almost nothing and clips onto a book without getting in the way, the bendy neck is really flexible and the light can stand without being clipped to anything. only annoyance is that i saw the same light in a shop today for £8.99.

Philips Lighting Limited
- Set of three decorative, frosted glass candle lights that give a warm, flickering glow
- No open flame means zero fire risk and operation is unaffected by wind
- Easy on/off switching by simply shaking the unit - no switch!
- Wireless recharging
- Up to 24 hours of continuous operation
Fab alternative to burning candles, 2008-11-10 We saw a similar product on holiday in Turkey, so I sought out these Philips LED Rechargeable Candle Lights on my return last year and shall be buying them for others as Christmas gifts this year.
They look so pretty when "lit". You literally just turn them upside down to turn on or off. Great idea if you like candles but have children around.

- Watch these beautiful and realistic Jellyfish glide around this lamp.
- It sets the scene perfectly in your home, or at work
- The tank holds three jellyfish, which swim around the tank in the gentle current.
- At the top of the tank are six bright coloured LED's which set the mood!
- You can set the unit to ether cycle colours, or pause on the colour of your choice!
Jellyfish Chill, 2008-10-11 I love this gadget!
If you've ever seen an underwater documentary that feature Jellyfish, you'll know how gracefull & peacefull they are to watch.
Well thanks to this gadget, they can live in peace and serenity on your desktop.
3 very life-like jellyfish, glide, float & dart around silently bathed in beautiful coloured lights. The light gently morphs from 1 colour to another. Absolute tranquility, to captivate anyone who sees them.
The tank is easy to set up, but don't miss the 'washing-up liquid' bit.
Then after around 24 hours, any little bubbles that have appeared, should have dissolved.
(If you don't add a spot of 'washing-up liquid' the bubbles don't dissapear, and stick to your jellyfish making them stick near the top of the tank.)
I put a little couloured fish-tank gravel in the bottom of my tank, which helps reflect the light back up.
I like to put on a little 'Enigma' relax with a large glass of 'Malt' and watch my Jellyfish.

Sun Jar , 2008-06-14 This is really cool. It would make a great gift for anyone especially the eco-conscious. It looks unusual, is a talking point for guests and it saves on electricity. I might get a few more and make a feature of them. You can even use them outside as they are waterproof.

Now you can project a beautiful rainbow on walls and ceilings using the Rainbow In My Room.
rainbow appears but it has to be pitch black, 2008-07-27 Rainbows are great, especially when you can have one in your room. However, this little piece of kit uses a silver foil mirror and some LEDs to produce a rainbow only in the darkest rooms. In short, it is is very much an under-powered toy. If you think your kids will be skipping under rainbows, think again unless you live in a cave and pitch black is guaranteed.

Good product but way too expensive from Amazon, 2008-04-07 It is a great product, and I'm very impressed with it, however the £14 cost from Amazon is very salty indeed. After receiving it through the post I did a search on google for exactly the same item and found other sites selling them for less than £5!
Happy searching...

Mattel
It can be perilous to expose one's softer side whilst amongst friends. For example by stroking a small kitten. Or by commenting on how pretty the flowers are looking that day. Your friends may not understand your comments and may laugh. A similar danger lurks when you need to relax - at these points you may think about using candles or incense to help you. But beware: these things may not be considered 'cool' in your peer group. To avoid any unnecessary jibes, dispose of candles and use Tude Beams instead. Tude Beams are similar to Mood Beams in many ways. A) Switch them on and they emit soft glowing colours that help you relax B) When you play music the colours dance to the beat C) they each have a unique shape and personality. But, importantly, they have one difference: they have 'attitude' and a lot more street credibility than their softer cousins.
