you can in fact drag and drop. to do this, when on the ipod sync screen in itunes, click the box 'enable disk use', then you can access the ipod as if it is any other usb drive through the desktop on a mac or 'my computer' on a pc.

awesome why oh why buy an ipod, 2009-01-08
This product is fantastic thought my last mp3 player a samsung was good this is a superb piece of kit. everything about it is good price compared with an ip0d is good this is far far better than anything else i have come across. just buy one and you wont be disappointed.
my only niggle would have preferred a more robust case.

Washing machine proof, 2008-10-29
You should have guessed by the number of good reviews that this unit is a good value for money and I am not going to re-write what has already been said. What I will add in favour of the unit is that mine went through a 40 degree 1600 rpm spin, full wash cycle. At first it was completely dead and wouldn't even charge up. After a week of being left at room temperature it charged up and run OK. At first it was a bit hit and miss if it would switch on, but now it is running as it was and never even lost the songs.
However, I would not recommend cleaning it in your washing machine!
My warning to you is DON'T LEAVE IT IN YOUR JEANS POCKET. It is so small, you will forget that it is there.

Brilliant Little Player, 2008-11-26
I bought the aluminium Nano as a birthday present for my wife following the massive let down of a Creative Zen player and it's the mutt's nuts! It feels well made, though incredibly light, it's easy to set up, the user interface, as with all iPods, is easy to use and the sound quality is fantastic. Add into that a couple of games and the new 'Genius' function and you've got everything you could want from an MP3 player. Plus this charged on all of my existing docking stations, from the cheap to the not-so-cheap!

Just wow!, 2008-11-26
New Apple iPod nano 8GB - Pink
After doing a good research both in-store and onine, I finally bought this cute as well as funky gadget. And this product from Apple is really amazing. The bright pink color catches the attention always. Though the sound is not as loud as in the classic iPod 30GB I have, but I am happy with this much!
The cover flow and shake to shuffle features are the major plus points.
Also regarding the delivery of this iPod, it reached my house in just 2 days from the date of dispatch.

Out of the blue, I decided to buy a music player that doesn't need you changing the CD after each set of songs. I got this, and how pleased I am with it.
First of all, the player looks great. A smart, shiny black with a slick power illuminator that falshes in time with the beats of your favourite tracks. The menu is extremely easy to navigate, allowing three options/songs to be shown at any one time. To navigate, you only need four buttons: Play/Select, Skip Forward/Up, Skip back/Down and the back button, simple. Again the menu looks great with a nice aqua blue.
The sound is great, nice and loud. You can toggle through the type of sound that best suits your genre of music (eg. Metal, Pop).
There is also a shuffle option as you'd expect. You can shuffle through all songs on your MP3 or through specific folders that you have created.
The music is simple to upload, simply drag the file into the folder that you want it to be in.
Overall, I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a music player of excellent quality that doesn't break the bank.

i recieved this product on time from amazon. and might i say APPLE have over done themselves with this new 4th generation ipod nano. brilliant quality videos. im downloading loads of family guy...lol
fantastic ipod does the job and more. a must have for christmas. people of all ages will love this I assure you all. FANTASTIC!
