Hit and Miss, but worth a punt at the price, 2008-10-22
SD cards aren't supposed to have this much capacity, so I was a bit dubious about buying this product as it shouldn't work. I thought I'd give one a go as they are stupidly cheap and I really wanted to double the SD capacity on my Pure Evoke DAB, As SDHC cards aren't backwards compatible with original SD hardware, this looks like the only way of boosting storage on SD hardware .
Was pleased that my card reader on my dell dimension C521 recognised it as having 3.8 Gb and had no probs with file transfer. However, neither of my Pure products (evoke and the bug) recognise the card. However my pentax optio5Z and nikon d40x cameras are both able to use it. Ho Hum.
Go on, give it a punt, from my small sample size, it looks like 50% compatability!!!. Its cheap enough to give it a go, if it doesn't work with your hardware, i'm sure a friend would appreciate giving it a go.

I paid just over £80 for my Nuvi (including postage) and I could not be more pleased. Yes, it is basic compared to some, but it works and is simplicity itself to operate.
The windscreen mount is first-class - solid as a rock and easily removed without leaving a tell-tale mark.
For the money I doubt this could be bettered and even included European mapping.
Highly recommended.

It does what it says on the tin essentially, a USB cable for your ipod. I've not checked what make it is but would the fact that it isn't apple make a difference to its performance - NO! Its great value, it charges, it loads music and that's what its meant to do how anyone can give it a bad review because of the label i don't know!

I got this as a power charger solution mainly for my Creative Zen Vision M 30gb. Like a lot of things, finding accessories for the creatives is difficult since the market is swamped with ipods and everything seems to be geared towards these.

The powermonkey comes with an adapter for the zen, but it doesnt work due to not enough pins being present so this leads me to believe that adapter is to charge an ipod.

The accessories do include one which fits the sync adapter of the creative zen vision M (the white thing you use to charge it from mains) so it does work - so for those with the same mp3 player as me - this will work for it, you just need to carry the adapter around as the flat adapter doesnt have enough pins.

the other adapters seem to fit everything else and it charges up my nokia n95 just fine. Quite a handy piece of kit to have - and it has more plug adapters than you can shake a stick at.

Garmin Forerunner 305 Wrist Worn GPS Personal Training Device (With Heart Rate Monitor)

Fantastic - Can't Fault, 2008-11-02
I started running about six months ago. Because of persistent injury problems it's important that I can very accurately track my pace. My iPod with Nike+ is pretty inaccurate (even after calibration) and doesn't provide constant data output. I therefore purchased a Forerunner 101 as my first GPS device. Alongside this I wore a Polar heart rate monitor. With my iPod as well, I almost clanked as I ran!

I have just upgraded to the 305 and what an absolute delight.

Advantages over the 101:

Much faster GPS locating. I live in London and sometimes with the 101 obtaining a fix was slow. It's near instantaneous with the 305.

Integrated heart rate monitor. Bye-bye Polar. One less gadget on my arm. (Now, if only it could play music).

Customisable display. I could have one custom screen with the 101. I have three with this. The unit captures a vast array of data and this allows you to have exactly what you need whilst you are running.

Re-chargeable Battery. Cheerio AAAs of the 101. Plus, don't even have to use the AC adapter. The USB cable supplies power.

Mac Support. I'm a Mac user. The upload facilities and included software (a) work! and (b) are great.

In short, I am totally loving this device. Be aware however that:

(a) You really should take time to read the full manual to get the best of it--the quick start guide will get you going, the manual really lets you tailor the forerunner and understand its capabilities.

(b) It doesn't make your legs move faster or further :-(
