Excellent product, Excellent service from Amazon., 2008-01-21 I bought the Sennheiser HD435 after my PMX-100's broke. I loved the PMX-100 and was very tempted to buy another pair for only £20, but decided, since i only really use my headphones in the car, about 1 hour a day, i might as well buy a more robust pair, sacrificing the ability to store them in my pocket.
I was glad i did, the HD435s are an amazing pair of headphones, the bass is easily as good as my dad's HD595 (£80-100) headphones. The general sound outperforms the PMX-100s by quite a bit and when you have these headphones on, you can hardly hear anything else.
Pros:
Robust
Incredible bass
Great overall sound
Good looks
Comes with an inline volume control and protective bag
High quality plug, with 1/4" adapter
Long cable
Cons:
Slightly loose fit
Slightly recessed/flat mid pitch sounds
Overall these are a bargain for £28, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Biggest earphone soundstage to date!, 2009-01-06
The last earphone review I wrote was for the Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro, which were my favourites for the last nine months. During that time, I tried the triple-driver Westone 3 and Sennheiser IE7, and finally settled for the IE8. I'm very happy with them, and can't see myself upgrading anytime soon.
The soundstage is huge, and I mean huge! Classical, Acoustic, Rock, Electronica all sound terrific. There's incredible depth and height to the soundstage that I've never heard to that extent in any of the other earphones I've owned. You really have to hear it to believe it.
Bass is very deep and impactful. I haven't even played around with the bass dial, since the default setting of minimum is way more than adequate. The midrange is perhaps the nicest I've heard to date. I always liked the Triple.fi midrange/vocals - but the IE8 is more open and detailed, with male and female vocals sounding especially rich and clear.
The treble is the only frequency that I'd have to say isn't up to par with the rest. The Triple.fi have a more pronounced and detailed treble, while the IE8 seem ever so slightly muted by comparison. It's certainly not bad at all, and I think ninety percent of users would be perfectly happy with it. I've realised that the 'perfect' earphone hasn't been invented yet to cover every single listening preference, but these are pretty close to perfect for me, and I've been through a few :)
They fit flush with the ear and are very comfortable provided you choose the right tip. I use the hard foam ones which give me the best isolation and sound quality, but there are several others to choose from. The cable is very good quality and doesn't tangle. It's also detachable, which is good news, since you can either replace the cable if it fails, or upgrade to to a better one.
My one real nitpick is the hard case that's supplied for storage. It's a strange drawer-like contraption, where you have to slide out the 'drawer', wind the phones around the cutouts, and then slide the drawer shut again! I just wind mine up loosely and store them in a small padded pouch. It's much quicker. I didn't knock off a star because I didn't buy them for the case. The sound quality alone makes them a 5-star for me :)

Well chuffed!, 2009-01-08 Sennheiser MX W1, Sennheiser¿s First Portable & Completely Wireless Stereo Earphone System
I was growing more and more fed up with wires tangling and tickling my neck & cheeks, even though I have a great pair of Grado phones. I wanted some "wireless" phones (preferably in-the-ear) and with excellent sound quality also. With some hard-earned cash set aside for this, I plumped for these Sennheiser MX W1 and they are worth every penny! Perfect sound transmission works up to 4-5m away. Lovely full range from bass to treble. I have small ears but found these still fitted great. The charging cradle is cool and has it's own leather carry pouch - meaning I get up to 3 hours constant play before I have to "dock" the phones for 30mins or so. Then repeat this cycle another 2 or 3 times then the cradle has to be recharged. Ther transmitter also has to be charged for an hour or so but not as frequently as the earphones - maybe once every 6 hours play. So with the charging cradle, transmitter and of course your mp3 player all charging up, make sure your electricity bill is paid! But really, I'm struggling to find anything negative to write about the MS W1s - I found what I was looking for. Very satisfied!

three out of five?, 2008-07-16 three out of five? WHY?
Because, when I put the headphones on, I cannot hear anythng else. :) Yes, there WERE specially made for a DJ (and I am not). The phone is ringing, the post man is downstairs, my girl is screaming... and I am listening very peaceful. ;)
I like the cord though -> looks like an old telephone cord and is very flexible.
The sound is quite poor but what can you expect from a Sennheiser?
NO people, the sound is FANTASTIC! Because it isolate your head from the surroundings, you can almost interact with the sound.
And about the sensitivity... you know, nobody tells about that in a review: the sensitivity is EXCELENT! you increase the volume so little and your head is blowing!
But why 3 out of 5 then? Because sometimes when I have the headphones on, I feel trapped from the surroundings (even without music you cannot hear anything outside) and somethimes I feel some pressure in my head (Sorry Sennheiser, it's true).

Wow, 2008-01-25 Purchased these because I was fed up with my substandard headphones, and without them I was annoying everyone with my subwoofer. All I can say is wow! I am very impressed with the sound, and they are much better than the last pair of phones I had in regards to build quality, sound and comfort (so all areas!) It does seem to focus a little more on the (bass, much to my satisfaction) :) but as the previous reviewer has suggested that is easily remedied. So to sum up, they are great! Buy them! I can't believe they are so cheap for what you get.
