Absolutely no complaints, especially at the price, 2008-08-05 Thanks to an ear infection I had to stop using my trusty Sony in-ear headphones and, surprisingly, these sound just as good. The bass response is the best I've ever heard from a pair of outer-ear headphones and they block out most of the sound from outside, so you don't need to turn them up too loud. Plus there's the price - sure, it doesn't mean they're 'disposable' exactly, but it does mean I have no qualms about just chucking them in my laptop bag.

- Compact, foldable design
- Improved noise-canceling circuitry that's less susceptible to interference from cell-phones and other radio frequency sources
- Two AAA batteries provide up to 80 hours of noise canceling
- Even with depleted batteries, the headphones continue to function
- Carrying pouch and airline jack adapters included
Pleased I bought them, 2006-11-10 I travel by air weekly and I've ummed and arred about buying noise cancelling headphones for sometime. At last I decided to purchase the Sennheiser PCX300 headphone prior to a 10hr flight. They are worth every penny.
They don't cancel out all noise but they cancel out most of the noise. I was sitting right next to the engines and I had my video volume tunred right down and the sound was clearer than I had ever heard on a flight before. Even when not listening to any audio, just having the noise cancelling switched on they provide a good level of noise cancellation, enough to help me get some sleep.
You really notice the difference when you take the headphones off, the noise is so loud in comparison.
I only wish I'd purchased these months ago.

Nice Earphones, 2006-10-11 I'm not a connoisseur of earphones. I simply needed a new pair for my iPod because the old ones are falling to pieces. I saw a few good things about these and they are a good price so I bought them.
I've only been using them for the last hour but the sound quality is very good (by my standards) but as I have never used proffessional earphones and I don't know how they compare. For £6.99 they're well worth the money. They feel pretty rugged and strong and they're a nice fit in my ears. Great product and great price!

PXC 350 versus PXC 250, 2008-01-14 Having been delighted with the performance of the smaller PXC250s I bought a pair of PXC350s so that my wife and I each have something to use on flights and coach journeys. For the last few days I've been able to compare and contrast the two sets AND pester my wife for her opinions.
Sound Quality; I can't honestly say that the more expensive model sounds better ... they both sound excellent. However, the PXC350s enclose the ears and so the music comes from a 'place' that is a little off or away from the ear, rather than 'on' the ear and I prefer that. The slight 'hiss' that can be heard when the noise canceling is switched on is far less noticeable on the 350s perhaps because of this. Sennheiser have also reduced the hiss by comparison with the 250s. Either way, these are the two best headphone sets I've ever owned.
Noise Canceling; on a flight the PXC250s are excellent ... have yet to test the 350s. However, I HAVE compared them here in the home with loud music playing on my hi-fi and sat in the car. Basically, the noise canceling on both sets virtually eliminates the bass sounds from the hi-fi sub-woofer ... only the singing and higher pitches can be heard. It's amazing switching them on and off to hear the difference. In the car (wife driving!) the low engine and road rumble is also vastly reduced. As should be expected, the 350s DO cut out a little more 'noise' than the 250s, but not 3 times as much as might be expected by the price difference.
In use; the 250s are often criticized for having the separate electronic unit housing the batteries. Sure, you DO have to deal with it but when sat on a coach or whatever, it's no real problem. The 350s do not have this separate unit and so are much easier to use. I also prefer the single lead from the left earcup rather than one to each ear as in the 250s. Both sets are very comfortable to wear, though I do get warm ears and face when wearing the 350s for any length of time ... the 250s fare better in this respect.
Folding; obviously, the 250s fold into a smaller package ( the case is about half the size of the 350s case ). However, when folded flat the 350s are not much bigger than a Penguin paperback book, and they're extremely lightweight.
Conclusions; Here in the house, on planes and coaches, the 350s will be my preferred choice. However, in situations where I'll feel a little more self conscious the 250s will be used ( walking around town etc). Both are fantastic really ... especially when compared to the Bose prices!
And finally; I've read that some users feel a little pressure discomfort in the ear drum when using the noise-canceling feature. I don't notice it, my wife does. Time will tell whether she gets used to it or tries something different.
And finally finally ... regardless of which I'm using, I'm enjoying my music more than ever before ... and am able to listen with excellent quality wherever I am.
And finally finally finally ... both pairs really show up the differences in playback quality of different mp3 players. I played the same tracks on a variety of Apple iPods, Creative, Sony PSP and iRiver players. iRiver is the clear winner every time ... streets ahead of the others. Something to bear in mind if you're shelling out for good phones!
Hope you find my comments helpful ... happy listening
Regards
Martyn (Ipswich)

Exceptional quality, bargain price., 2008-11-14 Sennheiser are one of the most highly respected manufacturers of headphones, with their audiophile quality HD650's widely regarded as the best headphones you can buy.
The MX760 are the top of Sennheiser's in-ear headphone range, designed to sell at around the £80 mark. They are very well made, exceptionally comfortable, and produce a warm, open, bassy sound.
I use mine in an Ipod 5G, and comparing them to Apple's supplied earphones is a revelation: Apple's units are fit for the bin. On the positive side, you will fall in love with your Ipod all over again, as you realise just how good a sound it can be capable of.
These days, lots of high end earphones use the 'ear canal' design ( where you put the earphone all the way into your ears, like an earplug) - the MX760 is a more 'old school' design, and is perfect if you find ear canal design uncomfortable (not to mention unhygienic).
The MX760 is available in black, white or titanium. They are supplied with:
- a short cable, so you can keep the cable to the minimum if you carry your player in your top pocket,
- a 1m extension cable,
- a leatherette carrying pouch, and
- a nicely designed cable winder (this lets you control the cable length, and allows you to 'clip in' the earphones so that they don't rattle around).
All the connections are gold plated for superior signal transmission- the attention to detail is terrific.
The MX760s would be worth every penny of their £80 MRRP, and so finding them for less than a quarter of that represents a huge bargain!

Impressive, 2007-09-16 I've had experience with two of Sennheiser's cheaper alternatives prior to buying these. One pair was uncomfortable yet sounded good and the other pair had a detachable wire, which eventually became faulty over time.
These HD 485's represent the minimum you ought to spend on a pair of cans if you are half serious about audio and comfort. Let me set the record straight and make it clear that THESE ARE VERY COMFORTABLE and I literally forget they are on sometimes because of that very reason.
As said in the Amazon description there's a tight bass side to them, which is very true, also everything else is still present and the treble response and mid-range is still good.
These will be a mainstay set of phones for me until they go pop and for the money you can't go far wrong.

- Powerful sound reproduction due to neodymium magnets Duofol diaphragms and TWIN attenuation system
- Closed construction efficiently boosts bass performance and shields ambient noise
- Ideal for the use with mobile MP3- CD- DVD- MD-Player and games consoles
- Lightweight metal-reinforced neckband for perfect fit
- Single sided cable
Great sound, minimal noise leak, bit flimsy though, 2008-03-06 They sound great and are a comfortable fit after an hour and more of use so for me they are about perfect (and I am a fairly average 16.5 collar). Better bass and far less noise leak than Sonys - if you liked their folding neckband model with chunkier bass than the standard ones then you will love these Senns as they have even more low end. Only downside is they don't fold and are markedly less robust - they have delicate little wires sticking out just asking for trouble so will have to take care of 'em - no chucking them in the gym bag!

HD 215 Professional Closed-Back Headphones
Best Headphones , 2008-10-09 These headphones are great, it comes with assorted ear plug sizes one of which is almost guaranteed to fit your ears; I used the set just above the smallest set cause I have small ears... lol. I have never used this type of earphone/earplug before but these are phenomenal. The sound is crisp and clear and because they plug right into your ears, you do not have to crank up the volume so loud. It really does block out external noise drastically. They perhaps lack slightly in the higher frequencies but not so noticeable unless you're really listening out for it.
I am not in a position to say that they are better than x or y but after doing my research I chose these and I am glad I did. The other day I had to using the old kind or earphones, and I felt like going back home just to get my cx95's that's how good they are.
