Great TV, great price., 2010-06-21 This is my first move into LCD/LED TVs and away from CRT so I can't make a comparison between this and others currently on sale, but as a first timer it has blown me away. I initially settled on Samsung on recommendations from friends and family about quality, and have since spent a long time agonising over which model, or more accurately, which 'bells and whistles' I want from my TV.
With a budget of around £500 it came down to this and the Samsung LE32C650 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 100Hz Motion Plus Allshare Internet LCD TV with Freeview HD, which being the next series up has things like the Samsung internet widgets and DLNA connectivity. I think you can get a little carried away by what a TV 'could' do, but this one does everything that a TV 'should' do.
I was a little concerned about it being only 50Hz but it doesn't make a jot of difference. Watching the football there was an ever so slight blur, but one of the menu options is a motion accelerator function and with this on there is no blur that my (untrained) eye can see.
A lot of criticism is aimed at the sound of LCD TVs but it is fine for the small-ish living room we're using it in.
The picture quality is great coming via the Sky HD box. HD channels are really crisp and clear, and the TV does a pretty good job with the standard channels too. Plugged into the XBox is where this TV goes from great to awesome: depth, colour, and detail are all brilliant (don't bother with 'game mode' though).
In summary...
Picture quality: crisp and clear
Motion quality: no noticeable issues on fast moving images
Sound: OK, but probably needs external speakers for higher volumes/bigger spaces
Appearance: lovely looking and only 3cm thick (having looked at TVs in a shop the LED ones make the normal LCD TVs look clunky and old fashioned!)
Setup: initial settings are OK but take some time to play with the options, particularly for colour depth and saturation
Installation: easy to put onto the stand (need a screwdriver)
If you're looking for a TV to be the hub of your home entertainment world then you might want to look at the next series up (note: this TV has Freeview and NOT Freeview HD). But if you want a TV to be a display for all your inputs (satellite/cable, console, blu-ray, media PC) then this is a fantastic option and I can't recommend it enough.

I love it, 2010-05-15 Basically I ordered this cover at the same time as I ordered my phone, I was just going for that black case to protect my fone from accidental shocks, didnt give much thought to the screen protector. I gotta say, the screen protector proved to be just as vital, if not more than the silicone case. It takes a steady hand to lay it out but it isn't impossible, and the fact that you can peel it off several times to re-adjust it if you get it wrong helps alot.
Havin this case and the screen protector on my fone makes me feel that no matter what I do, the phone is still new underneath - id recomend this to anyone.

Awesome!, 2010-05-29 I bought this TV a few days ago and I am more than happy with the purchase.
I am a bit of a gamer so I was hoping the 2D to 3D conversion would add a little
to the gaming experience. The conversion is spectacular I couldn't believe my eyes.
The 3D is crisp and clear (with a little adjustment to various in game video settings).
I can not recommend this enough for gamers. You don't need to wait for sony or xbox to release
bespoke 3D games ALL games are 3D with this TV.
The conversion of TV channels and videos is OK but not really for me.
Although sport looks pretty good and I will be using the 3D function for the world cup.
Hope this helps some people because I couldn't find much about how well the conversion works for games
and just took a gamble.

Samsung HT-C5550 Blu-Ray Home Theatre System, 2010-06-25 A very powerful Home Cinema system with the advantage of four Tall Boy speakers for front and back - so not having to perch speakers on shelves etc! Virtually all controls on the Blu-Ray console are touch operated, making for a sleek unit. The Tall Boy speakers are fairly narrow in width and do not try to hide that they are speakers, like some makes. In spite of this, they are not that intrusive. All in all, a very elegant system.

- Brand new OEM (Non Retail) SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 Hard Drive
- SATA/300 Connection, Internal, 7200RPM
- 32MB Data Buffer
- 3 Year Samsung Warranty
Great 937GB (1TB) drive, 2010-07-15 Great drive, seems to be fine on my machine
Initial problem with the install being that I didn't have a spare SATA data cable (should have checked the machine, a dell, as made an assumption that there would be a spare cable - the power cable was there but no data cable - used to be quite normal to find a number of spare cables but clearly this is no longer the case). So definitely a good idea to check before purchasing! After finding a data cable, and re-starting the machine and doing through the F2 setup on my machine, the drive was not initially recognized by windows Vista: used a partition manager to select the drive and format the disk - now sits happily as a F: drive on PC.
Seems to be very responsive. Bought it on the recommendation of the latest issue of PC Pro. There is a very slight clicking noise with the disk, hardly noticeable

Samsung Camera
A very Good Purchase, 2010-06-13 Over the winter, my Box-Brownie camera had developed wood-worm and the " birdie" we used to watch had died of fowl-pest, so it was decided to to lift the floorboard and raid the piggy-bank for a replacement.
I was spoilt for choice with the selection offered by Amerzon but, being an 85 year old (visually challenged) OAP the price, size and the 2.5 inch LCD was my obvious choice.
Delivery was the AMERZON norm, received in good condition,an in good time.
I found that if you stick the camera on AUTO there is no problem in producing good clear detailed 'snaps', but for it's myriads of other useful features a Ph.D. in Photography or other qualification would be desirable (in my case, anyway!).
For those of you not contributing to the Bill Gates Pension Fund may I inform you that this camera will work, without any problems with UBUNTU LINUX using the WINE program for the accompanying Windows CD.
Stan.

- 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray & DVD Play
- Built-in Wi-Fi & Internet@TV
- 2 x USB 2.0 Ports
- Local Storage (1GB)
- Ultra Fast Play
Awsome, 2010-07-17 I replaced my Samsung BD-P1580 with this player and I can honestly say it's in a different league. The 3D is excellent (through a Samsung 40C800 TV - REMEMER YOU'LL NEED V1.4 HDMI CABLES FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY). Not a hint of this cross-talk that the reviews all bang on about.
I tested this with my usual benchmark blu-ray "Avatar" and the picture is without a doubt the best I have ever seen on any TV ever.
btw, ordered it 2pm (ish) on Friday afternoon and it arrived by 10am Saturday morning. Nice one amazon.
