I bought this to use as an external drive for my MacBook's 'Time Machine' back up facility, together with a need to back up files on my Windows Vista desktop machine.

I created two partitions on the drive using Mac's Disk Utility, called one 'Time Machine' and formatted that into Mac OS Extended Journaled, and then downloaded Mac Fuse & NTFS-3G (freeware). With those two programs I'm able to format the remaining second partition into NTFS for Windows use. The Windows partition is able to be read and written to using the Mac and the mentioned software.

It works a treat, Time Machine uses the first partition for it's back ups and I can then plug the drive into the Windows desktop to back up those files onto the second partition - I used the enclosed Samsung back up software which worked fine for this.

It's far better looking than the photos suggest - the finish is nothing short of a high end product, and it's very quiet in use, only getting moderately warm in use.

All in all I like it, good price, decent capacity and I'm using it for both of my machines which is what I set out to achieve.

I bought this TV for my parents when they were looking to upgrade their HUGE old CRT TV. They have had it for ~3mths now and from them and what I have seen of it I can't fault it at all, excellent picture and sound (from analogue), plenty of easy to use options (and enough to tinker with if you want to). The only down side is that it is not full HD (but that's not a problem for them as they don't have or plan to get anything that will be a full HD source). I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good entry level LCD TV, I prefer it to alot of the more expensive TVs I have seen.

Bought this for my boyfriend - great great camera, does the job and you have different settings to really get the best out of your pictures. Got a Panasonic for Christmas, not as good, limited in terms of settings, bit less user friendly and generally not as good quality. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

Good tv to replace old c.r.t., 2010-02-13
Our (not that old) cathode ray tube tv + integral dvd went bad on the picture. Best option - replace with a smart-looking flatscreen rather than repair.
Chose Samsung for value - good reviews & price - did not think full HD necessary for us. Also bought dvd player from Amazon.
Turns out I was right - excellent picture, freeview works fine (better than old Phillips box which lost track repeatedly).
Think 26" was right for our room & furniture, but maybe 32" would have been better. Live with it !
