I was looking for a case that did NOT turn a lightweight & compact camcorder (Sony DCR-HC35) into a heavy large item to carry around whilst out & about, the LCS-VAC lived up to my expectations, it can hold (in addition to the camcorder)1-2 spare tapes, the remote control & a spare battery OR additional small still camera. If you do not take the mains charger with you everywhere you walk to, then this is the case for you. I Paid £[...] including postage which is much cheaper then anywhere else I have seen since.

I do not like headphones that totally seal in my ears, as this does not do much for my eardrums. Normal in-ear headphones simply fall out so often. I have tried the type that clip over the ear, which are better, but with some energetic exercises these still fall off. I like the fact that they sit in the ear, without sealing it, so give better volume than the type that sit outside.
This new Sony design is great, easy to use, comfortable and it stays in place (it is even splash proof) and of course the sound quality is as you would expect SONY (they were first tried with my 8Gb Sony Walkman, but they also improved the quality from a Philips MP3 player). At this price I think these are great value and quality.

First set of these I bought was around £30. At this price they are a steal. Great sound (especially bass) and they even stay in my ears (unlike most normal ipod style ones).

Yes I have had the problem where they go off in one ear after around 9 months, but Amazon sent me a free replacement pair without any problem and these have been fine for a couple of years now.

My family all use them now and all swear by them (3 sizes of rubber pads means they fit kids to adults).

It's a good microphone as it looks great & it is light weight compared to the Shure PG48 or the JHS microphone.

One problem that dissapointed me with Sony is that it picksup superbly clear BUT! I found it only did this for a few days then once it passed it starts to become very muffled & unclear like those cheap poundshop microphones but all round it's ok!

Easy to set-up straight from the box. Tunes in all Digital and Analogue automatically. Choice of full programme banner info bar or basic.

If you are using the TV as a computer monitor then there are separate settings for the PC and you can have PIP so you can use your PC and have the TV showing as well.

Using a coax cable feed from the RF output on the main Sky box allows reception on the Analogue tuner (have it switched on when auto-tuning and it will save it. You can then edit the programme title to show 'SKY').

Excellent sound and picture is just superb.

Having bought numerous 'cheap' shower radios, it is really worth paying a few extra pounds for this one. Good sound quality and I love having the option of pre-setting five radio stations. Would highly recommend this product.

Accurate hi-res photo frame for viewing entire images, 2008-12-31
This frame's display is spot on in comparison to my calibrated computer display for viewing and manipulating photographs. The greys are grey, and near neutral colours are not distorted with over-saturation - yet purer colours have real punch. If you don't want to know more - then go and buy one and stop reading.

I do not care about video and sound features, I would rather have the money spent on the display itself. This is a "Digital Photo Frame" designed for 4:3 proportioned digital photos (ie most likely like yours are).

In comparison to 7 and 9 inch widescreen displays there is no contest for displaying normal shaped (uncropped) digital pics. The D80 will even show a physically larger image using more pixels than the 9 inch 800:480 pixel widescreen. I did the maths.. and checked them out... Its good for 35mm film (3:2) scans to, or DSLR pictures of the same proportion, giving only small 6mm black bars top and bottom (without cropping).

All Sony frames (I tried 3 in a store) will display standard jpegs from cameras or those edited in software such as photoshop or paintshop pro and saved as jpegs (not project files etc, I use Photoshop and Paintshop pro, I can't vouch for very old versions of these products, or other packages. If your edits lose the EXIF data it only affects one view mode (of many) or pop-up picture data when you ask for it - which shows the date and time the picture was taken - the image is fine. My edited camera photos are fine. My scans don't have this information in the first place but still display.

All Sony frames that I tried/checked do not allow colour or contrast adjustment. It would be nice if you could adjust contrast, saturation and RGB like in a good camera in the frame's old age. That's a suggestion for all manufacturers (all frames give more or less functionality in this area that I looked at)

This is a really neat, eye-catching product which does exactly what it should do, show-off digital images accurately and extremely well.

Ps - Amazon did well - delivery was to within 1 hr of the estimate.

Fine solution for a necessary evil, 2008-01-13
I hate the fact that Sony continue to go it's own way with the memory stick; Just about everybody else on the market uses some form of the SD range but Sony has to be different with a proprietary format. I bought a Sony HDR-HC3 HDV camcorder which can also take pretty decent 4MP stills so to use this facility, I was forced to buy a Memory Stick for it.

The stick works well and I got it for a good price from Amazon at the end of 2006. Should be even cheaper now. Be wary of buying fake sticks from some independent sellers (you'll find people with bitter experiences here) but the genuine article works just fine.
