Well worth the money!, 2006-05-08 I got mine a couple of days ago. I have to say I think it is absolutely brilliant. The sound quality is top notch especially when you consider the speaker size, I haven't noticed yet the sound distortion that was commented on by a previous reviewer.
Some people have said they don't like the central "do it all" rocker switch it that controls the volume and channel selection and it's true it takes a few minutes to get used to it, but once you have done so its very easy to use and practical. There are just so many options to play with - including an equaliser function with presets.
The only issues I have is that sometimes the controls seem a trifle "independent minded" and that the size of the base is a trifle large - on the other hand that makes it more stable when you press the unit's controls.
Overall, I am very pleased with it.

Good Product but volume!!!!!!, 2008-05-20 I bought this last year and had to exchange it instantly because the volume control went nuts!! A month later the new one started the same thing unable to turn down from LOUD!!
Apart from that lovely sound and easy to use etc! I'm off to the shop to try again!!

With our well-known green credentials were all for recycling here at PURE, so when we saw the opportunity to reuse a few design ideas from the 1950s, update the technology and add a PURE twist, we jumped at it. The resulting radio is as cute as it gets, so cute that we think it'll still look good in the 2050s.
More than just a design exercise, Mio sounds fantastic too. And so it should: under its retro-modern skin is our very own EVOKE-1S, What Hi-Fi Sound & Visions Best Portable DAB Radio of 2007.
Mio is our first portable radio to come with a removable ChargePAK pre-installed. Plug it in when you can and the ChargePAK charges while you listen; unplug it, and you've up to 24 hours portable DAB listening per charge.

- Timers: Sleep and kitchen timers
- Speaker: Full-range 3" drive unit
- 9V DC power adapter socket (230V adapter supplied). Mini USB connector for software upgrades.
- 3.5 mm headphone socket
First DAB radio, 2007-01-01 Good quality entry level DAB with more than enough functions to do the job. Excellent clarity of music and voice and can now get many more channels than before. Backlight excellent for use in the bedroom as on timer gives you time to see what time and then goes off when timer facility turned on. Click and turn knob sometimes means you keep adjusting the volume but easily sorted out. Thinking of getting one for the kitchen.

It does what it says, 2004-01-05 I have not had a DAB tuner before so I do not have anything to compare it with - but I cannot fault it - it does exactly what I expected and even more.Sound quality is fantastic and the optical connection to my MD deck works a treat. Easy instructions and as it tunes itself you can just sit back and enjoy. I used to listen to Terry Wogan and Drive Time but this now opens up a whole new world of enjoyment / entertainment. Ditch the TV and spoil yourself with one of these units. Radio has never been so goooooood. Santa had good taste this year.
