The best running earphones money can buy, 2008-11-14 I've had these little beauties for about 3 months now and can't fault them. My previous headphones were of a similar type but became uncomfortable after about an hour. These are constructed from soft silicone and so are very comfortable to wear for long periods. The different sized ear buds are also very soft and consequently adapt well to your ear, improving fit and reducing ambient sounds. Complement these with the Creative Zen Stone MP3 player and you'll have the ultimate running setup! (IMHO)

1st class bargain, 2008-09-21 This is my 3rd Philips shaver. I bought my first one 25 years ago. That's an average of over 8 years per shaver! Each one served me well but the quality and price have improved over the years. I am most impressed with this one though. On the plus side it's much quieter than previous models, looks very nice but most importantly shaves really well. I usually have to plaster on shaving balm to prevent the dreaded rash but with this one there seems to be no such 'burning' feeling. It took me quite a while to get used to my last model but felt immediately comfortable with this one. At the price I think it's a bargain too. The only downside is that the boby of the shaver feels a but lightweight and plastic, not as solid as the earlier model, but this is being picky. Buy with confidence.

Brilliant value for money, 2008-10-22 Brilliant price for a Philips photo frame. It looks great in it's packaging when it arrived and I have it working already. I've had a Philips frame before and it looks great in my living room but wanted to have another for the study. At this price I think I'll be buying another one to give as a Christmas present.

WOW, 2008-10-25 I've used many electric shavers over the years and been unimpressed but this is the best by far. Not the same as a wet shave with my trusted Mach 3 but not far off. Make sure you use the nivea moisturiser as it really does stop razor rash. The cut is good, the accessories as useful also. Very impressed and would recommend to anyone wanting an electric shaver but worried about razor rash or a poor shave, THIS IS A GOOD BUY

- New cutting technology for fast ultra sharp trim
- 100% waterproof for easy use and cleaning
At last a trimmer that works!, 2008-07-15 After trying and failing with several trimmers I am absolutely delighted with this one.
The success is in the design as the blades are at the side of the unit and when inserted into the nose you are able to trim the hairs around the inside rim of your nose giving a perfect cut as it extracts the hairs from the root.
The other trimmers I have tried had a different design with the blades at the top of the trimmer and all they did was just push the hairs up your nose rather than get to the root of the hairs.
The trimmer also comes with eyebrow trimming attachments (Short and Long) which I also enjoy using and give a very good cut.
Overall very happy with this product and would recommend.

A good inexpensive multi-regional player, 2008-11-02 If all you want is a very basic dvd player, say for the bedroom, then at the moment, you are really looking at either this Philips or the Toshiba SD280E. They are similarly priced with similar specs. The advantage of the Tosh is that it will play your divx movies whilst the Philips will not. Nevertheless I chose the Philips, purely on the fact that it is silver in colour whilst the Toshiba is black. A minor point really but as my bedroom telly is also silver I wanted it to match.
I see from reading these comments that some have struggled with making the Philips multi-region. If this is you then try again and make sure you follow Kalpesh's instructions to the letter. It does work. It took me less than a minute to complete.

A toothbrush to smile about, 2008-11-13 Years of using a normal toothbrush and then a cheaper electric toothbrush do not prepare you for using the Philips Sonicare. First of all the high-speed vibration is more than your usual electric toothbrush gives you so you need to get used to that sensation. Secondly, it is on a timer. It divides your mouth into 4 cleaning sections and a little buzz sounds when you need to move to the next section. Then when time is up it switches off, so no more dreaming in front of the bathroom mirror as you clean your teeth or you suddenly find yourself either finished before you should be or standing with a half cleaned mouth. It may sound odd but it is giving you the maximum cleaning time as prescribed by `those experts' who seem to know. Also, you do feel that your teeth have had a good clean (perhaps a better clean) than was the case before.
There are three setting to choose from - a normal clean, a sensitive clean and one that is for cleaning and whitening (this gives a few extra seconds to concentrate on your front teeth). The charger can open out into a smaller travel version but it really holds its charge well so I'd only take this if I were away for a fortnight.
All in all I am impressed and would recommend this to anyone who is prepared to pay out more for a really good toothbrush.

Sonicare
- Deep yet gentle cleansing
- A precise combination of soft, extra soft and super soft end rounded bristles ensure deep yet gentle cleansing
- Longer bristles
- Designed to clean hard to reach areas
- Replacement brush heads for Sonicare Elite 7000 series
10 Year Veteran, 2008-11-13 I have used the Philips Sonicare range for more than 10 years and have been very happy to have that dentist feel every time. Yes, the newer heads are thinner, that's called 'research and development'. The new, smaller head means you can easily reach all teeth, including back ones. Remember, you don't apply tons of pressure with any electric toothbrush, so although this one is leaner, it doesnt mean it will break easily, it won't.
I totally ignore the beep noise telling you 30 seconds has passed, the longer you use it the more benefit you'll get. I use mine for 4 minutes, then rinse mouth 3 times with water. Leave as much fluid as you feel comfortable with in your mouth as this is the whole point of sonic waves, it passes through the liquid. I'm 39 years old and have no fillings or dental work of any kind. I eat what I like and know this toothbrush will save the day. I floss every few days and use mouth wash once a week, I also take Q10 supplements #60 mg a day# which has been proven to help gum disease.
Another reviewer here said 'shouldn't, instead of doesn't', this tells me this person has never used it before. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Fantastic - like summer in your room, 2008-11-13 Nobody likes being woke from the land of nod, but this does it fantastically. The gradual build up of light and the fade in of sound wakes up, rather then jolts you awake like most usual alarm clocks. I feel better once awake, perhaps even happier because of the light build up.
I can only say that this is fantastic, worth every penny.
