A quick and easy cheap way to audio nirvana. The detail is unlike anything you may have heard, but in the finest of systems.

I have a very capable Ah njoe Tjoeb CD4000, Tubed Cd player, for my front end and a kit Autocostruire Tripath amplifier (60 watts 8ohms).
This loudspeaker graced with an excellent front end and a great amplifier will give you a wonderful musical soundstage. The bass is something you feel in the chest. its like a transmission line bass. it may read 45Hz, but it certainly gives ample weight that satisfys my dub reggae/dubstep tendencies. But has so much depth in its soundstage. because of the horn loaded tweeter, high frequencys have a clean out of the box presentation. It is a holographic soundstage with all the sounds multilayered in varying degrees of space. The soundstage is wide and is pretty much like wearing a fine pair of headphones The better quality the source and components, the more they shine. With Classical or acoustic work, performers will hang eerily in the room. the ambience of the hall will be heard. It really is a match made in heaven. And as they are high efficiency, it takes little watts to run them loud. but loudness is not the reason for any of this. If you can match these with first class components or even high class budget components. i doubt you will go back to conventional speakers. A mixture of the Tripath chipamp, a good source, and these speakers can bring you up to something, not 5 years ago, would be obtainable, by spending thousands of pounds.

i wish i found these years ago, fantastic sound. Although warnings must be had. if their ever was a possible problem they would have is being partnered with harsh overforward Cd players,amps. They would compliment a nice tube amp, i guess.

I used these against my Acoustic energy Evo 3,s, and they pretty much wiped the floor with them, and they are no slackers. The difference between 2 dimensions and 3. With the exception that they are a bit ugly, maybe, and look a bit cheaply finished off. i cant see no downfalls here.

for me it wont get better than this, ive listened to tons of hifi, demoes, in twenty years and now every album, is a ride.........

hopefully i can get some converts Inaugarated into the Church of klipsch.

Quality sound without a subwoofer., 2007-02-21
I received these a week ago, so now that they have been run in (you have to do that with all speakers) I can now post these comments. Sound source - Creative Zen Touch - mp3 tracks at a minimum bit rate of 196kbps (or better). These speakers are well made, quality items which sound far better than their [...] price tag. The sound is clear, well defined and well balanced. They handle all sorts of music extremely well. Particularly impressive is their ability to handle double bass in jazz. If you are looking for fairly small "portable" active speakers primarily to listen to music,either from a Pc or an Mp3 player, then you would have to go a long way to beat these. If all you are interested in is booming bass, then buy a set with a subwoofer and suffer the inevitably muddled sound quality you invariably will get. If you are interested in quality of sound, then these are definately worth considering.

hi thre last week I recieved the box what was there only 1 item but when conected to my reciever the saund was very good I know is not cheap at all but is possible the best saund compere my ather 5 spekers I have also TDL ther are also dear but can't compere I am planing to buy one more next week in general if you have extra £££ to buy 2 get it ASAP
