Great little device. I bought it at Hong Kong airport the other day. I like the features and the feel of the product. I've come across some problems. Using the clip makes me sometimes accidentally touch the buttons. The volume is not in synchronization with the iPod nano volume control. If I've listened thru my nano directly with low volume setting and then plug in the BluEye and move my earphones there, the volume is ofter very loud. These are little things and don't annoy too much after I have learnt to live with them.
The most annoying thing is the constant ticking or tapping sound in the background of my right earbud when I hook the earphones in the BluEye. If I listen to low volume sounds this clicking noise comes through clearly enough to disturb listening. With louder music it disappears in the background. I have Koss Sparkplugs. I tried to get advice on this problem from the www.myblu.biz website adverised in the user manual. However, this site seems to be still in test mode without much content. After googling I found the mavizen.com page where I logged my compaint again.
But even with this little disturbing noise, I still like the product and can recommend it to others who - like myself - sometimes miss their calls due to music playing or do not want to fumble with the controls of the iPod stored in a pocket. The radio also works quite well as does the Bluethooth connection.

An expensive bit of plastic!, 2008-10-07
At first i thought i would be slightly rubbery plastic like lots of other ipod cases, but its not. I also thought it looked like ice, but it doesnt. I also thought it was expensive, and it is. But I admit I got it free with a deal (on amazon) that has probally finished now.

Although this all must sound pretty bad, its actually a nice case. Its clear, Resistant against scrathes and greesy marks, easilly accessible to all ports on ipod, it does look and feel better then I thought (though i liked the icey idea). Stays on a little too much, very hard to get off, but then why would you want to?

I bought one of these for my other half, and I am so pleased with the sound quality of such a small unit. Initially I tried a Wharfedale dock from Argos for approximately the same price, but when I got it home, it sounded absolutely awful - no bass definition whatsoever, and a pretty puny sound all round, despite (allegedly) having 25W output.

So I swapped for one of these Gear4's. There is just no comparison - this sounds amazing. Great bass, but thats also coupled with very clear tones when listening to either quiet pieces or anything classical. You have a handful of preset equaliser settings, which all alter the sound pretty well. The inclusion of a radio is also a handy feature - not many of its rivals have the same.

All in all, I'd recommend this Gear4 to anyone - its a good price, nice looking and quality unit!

As well as sounding great and looking amazingly modern I love the fact you can pair your laptop or phone to this wirelessly. I bought the Gear4 stream attachment for your Ipod last week and the bluetooth range works from different rooms

The biggest bonus is being able to use your Ipod as your remote now so I can change whole albums or artists whilst chilling on the sofa or moving around from a distance.

I'd recommend these products to anyone because they are truly different and have great functionality.

Fantastic... Just one thing, 2008-01-19
I use my iPod a lot and it's where all my music is so I really wanted something that would give me excellent quality and well that's exactly what i got! Some people have said if you turn the volume up to the 30 the sound gets muffled, personally if i'm in the same room with the volume at 15 it leaves my ears ringing!!! It's very small, extremely portable, I love how I can even use them as speakers for my computer!! It was reasonably priced and I love everything about it! Well almost everything, my only annoyance is thatafter you turn it off, after a few hours it'll turn itself on and if it's on and not used it'll turn it's self off... I've had bad experiences at 3am of the speaker turning on, turning my charging ipod on at the same time and having me blasted out of bed! My sister has the exact same model and her speakers turn off after only a few minutes! Rather confused about this and I can't find an explanation for it, but it's a minor flaw on what is an outstanding set of speakers!!

Works with ipod touch! , 2008-07-21
I thought I'd let you all know it works with ipod touch because when I bought it I was unsure if it would be able to work through the touch's complex menues but it manages well.

Only minor problem - I got the black one but it came with the remote from the white version!! I'm not bothered though - makes it easier to find on my messy desk!
