Why some people choose to dismiss this player or moan about it's lack of features is beyond me! It's simply brilliant! I use mine purely for the gym, so where else could you expect to get 250 tunes on an mp3 player which is lightweight can clip on your pocket and not even know it's there and not have to worry about breaking it? I used to take my 30gig ipod with me to the gym and after it falling off the equipment so many times and bearing in mind it usually fell onto something made of cast metal, not ideal really when you have a screen to break! So the fact that it doesn't have a screen is a bonus for me cos it's less to worry about and why are you ever likely to want more than 100 let alone 250 tunes on it when you can simply change them anytime you like on itunes. I just load them on press play finish my session at the gym turn it off and next time I turn it on it starts where I left off and you can choose the order you want them to play in itunes or press the shuffle feature if you fancy a random playlist for a change. As for those who question the sound quality, well I load less tunes on mine but at 320kbps which is cd quality and mine sounds superb, so if you are going to put tunes on it which are 128kbps or less you can only expect some deteriation in sound quality! Yes the headphones aren't exactly B&O but I don't really need to listen to 5.1 surround sound when i'm at the gym so for me they are more than adequate. I ask you where else can you get all those ingenious features for £32? Fantastic bit of kit for the right application!

I am really pleased with this product. It is extremley good value for money and provides excellent protection for the ipod. The front panel has small magnets in, so it closes to protect the controls of the ipod.

The cost of postage was very reasonable and it arrived very quickly. Can't fault it!!

No real review needed here - its a USB 2.0 to iPod dock connector. Allows you to connect your iPod to your PC directly, without the need for a docking station. this is a real gem i love it my car journeys are not the same without it

the sound quality is really good yes there may be a few buzzes in the background but when the music is on you wont be able to hear it.

Overall - superb, 2008-09-16
Simple set-up, great looks. Simple to use too - even the resident technophobe likes it.
The DAB reception is crystal clear, far superior to the DAB system it replaced. I have no trouble with reception, and only need the aerial for one particular local DAB station.
Only four stars because for some reason the iPod tray doesn't like one of the flock of iPods we have in this house : the Nano 4GB does not charge unless waggled about to the right position, though it does play. Yet the Nano 8GB and the iPod Classic both work exactly as advertised, so it could well be a problem with the Nano rather than the Intempo.
My recommendation - buy it, you won't be disappointed !

I love my nano ipod. I have downloaded films from the public domain and video clips from holidays. It is great to be able to show friend photographs and video clips from the ipod. Normally they would have to see videos on a TV screen or bring along a photo album.

Although the technical support could have been better from Apple. I had to phone about 10 times. They asked me to return the ipod as it was not working correctly. They returned it and said there was nothing wrong. After phoning another few times, I took it in person to an Apple store, who sent it to be completely replaced. Then the new one worked no problems. It was hard work at the begining because Apple technical support just seemed to have me going around in circles. However it was worth it in the end.

A word of advice -get all the technical problems sorted out in the first three months, as that is when the free support runs out !

Brilliant, but only if an external Ariel fitted, 2008-09-14
Ace bit of kit, pausing BBC7 for about 8 mins during telephone calls!

I drive a new Mondeo all over the midlands, With the internal radio it worked, but had frequent dropouts. Possibly mounting the ariel on the drivers side would be slightly better, as clear of de-mister wires within the screen.
I am now getting perfect results with a self modified Taxi 1/4 wave ariel from Maplin (N23AC). See the pure highway FAQ for confirmation.
I cut the whip to 33.2cm which is perfect for BBC7 which gave me most problems.
I have fitted my own right hand 2.5 mm stereo plug signal to tip,outer to braid, nothing to middle. I also cut the original ariel from pure at just before the sticky black block. and fitted a stereo 2.5mm socket on the cable. with this then I have enough cable to mount and hide cables.
Take care not to short any wires. don't drag off roof or will scratch the paint.
