Worthy of the title 'Tale of the Jedi'., 2001-06-15 Here we see another masterpiece from the team of Kevin J. Anderson and Dario Carrasco (the pair that also brough us 'The Golden Age of the Sith', 'The Fall of the Sith Empire' and 'The Sith War'). This is a story following some of Luke Skywalker's apprentices as they travel to Corbos and confront the 'leviathan'. It's artwork is colourful and lively and Anderson takes full advantage of the chance to explore his too little used Jedi Knights. In summary, this graphic novel combines the stunning visuals of 'Star Wars', the dark elements of 'The Empire Strikes Back' and the lightsaber swinging action of 'Return of the Jedi'.

The new Jedi get to test their lightsabres., 2000-09-17 Any reader of the Star Wars expanded universe will know that in the overall story, Luke Skywalker set up a Jedi academy. In most of the books, few of the new Jedi trained there are truly explored. This superb graphic novel changes all that... Four Jedi; an old Jedi from Bespin, a warrior-witch from Dathomir, an ex-slave from Kessel and the clone of a Jedi who died in the novel 'Darksaber'. This mixed group travel to the planet Corbos, where the inhabitants have been slaughtered...and so, it's lightsabres out and off we go. I loved this book (illustrated by the same artist as 'The Sith War', but done better) and I hate the way it is often compared to the film 'Aliens'. It's just a brief adventure for the galaxy's newest Jedi. A part of the 'Tales of the Jedi' series in all but name. And a great part.

A Great Start To A Great Series, 2000-05-31 At first I was a bit wary about reading about characters in the Galaxy Far Far Away 5000 years before the ones we all know and love. However, this was an excellent story and the art is excellent too.

A great piece of background, 2006-01-09 This series has always been one of my favourites, simply for how it expands on so many characters. In the movies, we often only see a glimpse of characters, and these books really bring them to life. This book charters the tales of the six Bounty Hunters Darth Vader hires to capture Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back. From Boba Fett's hunt after Han Solo to his escape from the Sarlacc to the IG-88 rogue Assassin droid who has much greater schemes of grandeur than simply capturing Solo, this book is a brilliant read for any Star Wars fan. It contains 5 tales written by authors such as Kevin J Anderson, Kathy Tyers and Dave Wolverhampton, focusing on Boba Fett, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4-LOM, IG-88 and Bossk, their hunts for Solo and their own personnal feuds and problems. A highly recommended book!

One of the best Tale of the Jedi comics, 1998-11-07 This story is great! Everything you can expect from a battle against good and evil. You can see was Exar Kun was like before the Jedi Academt trilogy. Good story plot. They got rid of the characters that the fans wanted to get rid of. It portrays a chapter in Ulic-Qel-Droma story and how he was after he turned the dark side and the price he payed for returning to the light side. The art work was pretty good, except the book cover art. A real action triller. A must read for Star Wars fans.

Continuing the Tales of the Jedi, 2002-09-21 This is a great story, but you must read the previous Tales first, culminating in the Sith War, or you will be lost as to what has gone on. It is set 10 years later, and we see Ulic in a different light as he reluctantly becomes teacher to Nomi Sunrider. I often wondered what happened to the characters after the Sith War, and this story answers most of my questions. It has elements we expect in all SW stories, action and excitement, and a brooding undercurrent. A good ending too, and my only gripe is we have had to wait several years for it. Don't make us wait too long for the next installment.
