This guide is very helpful in initial planning and also as an accompaniment. This is compact. It is full of information.
It contains a pocket map of city and metro map as well. Loads of photographs. very nice.

Great little pocket map, 2009-12-15
This was a great little pocket map, very easy to follow and the various pages viewing all the places to visit were very informative. We had 2 whole days in Rome and saw all the famous places just by walking everywhere with the help of the maps. Also it fits into your pocket.

Excellent clear and useful guide for these stunning Belgium cities!, 2009-03-26
I have used many Dorling Kindersley gidebooks and they are all visually stunning.

This one is exceptional though. I love Belgium - if you like interesting history and architecture and decent food (and chocolate!) or are "into" lace (!?) then Belgium is the place to go. the fact that you can see Bruges, Ghent and Brussels in a long weekend is a real draw for me.

This volume - exceptional value at less than £7.50 is all you will need for the four cities on the cover. It's only Antwerp that I haven't been to with this guide - yet!

So, what's inside? Maps of all the important parts of teh cities, history of each area, important places to go with addresses and opening times, places to stay and eat. In fact everything you could want to know and see.

I whole-heartedly recommend this DK book. Go to Ghent and see the castle and the Gothic cathedral. Visit Bruges and go to the Groening museum, the Markt and the Stadhuis (try the Rabbit stew and the Chicken Waterzooi soup they are favulous!) Or go to Brussels where there are too nuemrous places to mention here but don't forget the museums and the Manneken Pis!

A very accessible songbook for beginners and more talented folk alike. If, like me, you're not particularly interested in theory and just want to learn the chords to a few pop songs then this is just the thing. The finger positions for all the relevant chords are written at the top of the page, and it is just a matter of learning how to progress through them quickly enough to sound competent.

I was really happy with this little book. It really does fit into your pocket and has every important detail you need to travel around Venice. I didn't find the writing too small and was impressed with the maps and pictures. I really recommend it.
