Right folks- hear me out..... I bought this today along with a JBL radial micro loudspeaker. The iPod is superb, and docked in the speaker, it is utterly fantastic. Forget the negative reviews, this technology is unbeatable. I'm a bit of a techie ( yes-even tho i'm female and mid 50s....) as I've worked with computers and taught IT since the mid 80s.
My 4000 plus tracks uploaded within 20mins, the volume/sound is great (set it yourself) on earphones, and on the speaker it just blows me away. I've used iTunes since its inception - bought tracks, loaded up CDs, (gave all CDs away to reduce clutter...), burnt CDs, backed up iTunes library, used iPod shuffle etc - brilliant, easy peasy. Marvellous technology. Well done Apple!

Sorry Amazon - even though I've bought tons of stuff - books, CDs etc- from you, I bought this on impulse from PC World. The iPod was much more expensive than Amazon at £160, but I couldn't wait. Positive reviewers from Amazon helped...:-) !!!!

having just received this this morning from another website just thought i would put a little review down... well the only thing i wished for was more space on my pink 2nd gen nano and was sorely tempted by the new nanos when they came out at the end of last year but was sad they didn't do pink well what a surprise when i saw them now available in pink and snapped one up.......am really pleased it is not a vibrantly pink as the 2nd gen but still pretty smart...coverflow is good and the whole software is slicker and seems more advanced i have put 1 movie on it as a trial just get some shrinking software from the internet and it is amazing the picture etc fab and TINY!!and have just downloaded bomberman from itunes it's fab too all in all am pleased and have just ordered a case as am sure has the potential to scratch the back of it is so shiny and want to keep it that way.i would recommend

I recieved my ipod nano as a christmas present last year and really couldn't be more happier with it.
You rarely see me without my ipod these days, watching videos, listening to loads of music, viewing a large gallery of my personal photos and playing games. You can do so much with it and i'm sure if you buy one, it will keep you as well, entertained for many hours on end. As a real bonus, the sound quality is superb, crystal clear and the whole item looks fabulous.
I can fully recommened this ipod to anybody, it makes a awesome present or just a great gift to treat yourself.

Creative ZEN 4GB MP3 Player

An excellent, little media player. I have an SD card I use in my PDA/Navigator and this works brilliantly with the Zen. Although media functionality is limited on the SD card compared to that stored on the actual Zen itself, this doesn't really impinge on the usefullness of the SD slot. I have several full length films (that I own) converted to 320x240 DivX on the SD card ready for long, boring trips and they work perfectly - if watching films on a small (albeit sharply defined) screen is your bag.

The sound quality is very good, especially with a pair of noise cancelling ear/headphones (purchased seperately - also Creative). The earphones that come with it are typical Creative Labs quality and therefore quite good, but they don't fit my ears that well, which is probably more to do with my freaky tabs than the 'phones.

Browsing the menus takes a while to get used to but quickly becomes second nature and uploading to the player is simplicity itself. One point however is that to upload to the SD card, one must set the Memory Card to an upload mode before plugging the player into the PC but once you know this, it isn't a problem. The player also displays images really crisply and this is a nice little addition to the feature list but not something I would specifically buy this for.

The hardware looks shiny and smart - a simple slab of piano black darkness. Also, mine came with the very latest firmware on it which was a bonus. The software however was out of date but that's not a problem as the Creative site is easy to navigate.

All in all, a brilliant piece of kit. Once again, Creative Labs hit the spot. My iPod loving friend even commented how smart it looked and how the SD slot was a good idea. He still likes his iPod better but if we all liked the same things it would be a very dull world.

Really pleased, 2008-06-10
This was an impulse purchase replacing my venerable mini (bought in launch week) and a more recent shuffle. The advantages are obvious compared to the earlier versions so I won't mention them.

I am extremely pleased with the battery life and the screen brightness (even through a black SwitchEasy "Biscuit" case). Watching video is surprisingly good despite the small screen. There's always something better around the corner from Apple but I am very happy with this for now.

The MP3 player I've been waiting for, 2008-06-25
I bought this in May to replace a Sansa e260 that had suffered the "Blue Wheel of Death" via a corrupt database because I had the audacity to attempt to delete some music from it.

The Sony does everything that the Sandisk unit did but the intervening years have made it faster and sound better. I simply dragged and dropped my WMA/MP3 collection straight on to it and it worked a treat. The supplied headphones are very much better than expected, but using other after market headphones make the sound even better.

Battery life is excellent. The only negative I can think of is that you should buy a case to protect the unit - but with the new lower price that's not a deal breaker. Buy one and bask in not being locked to that other well known music player's software.

I have wanted an ipod for some time and did alot of research on the internet in order to find the perfect model.
I read many reviews and I eventually choose the ipod classic 80gb due to the memory space available. I have owned my ipod classic for two weeks now and let me tell you...........this is a well made item which is so simple to use.
the sound quallity is fantastic and the screen is large enough and clear.
Get one.........its fantastic!!

I also think it looks attractive with its black and brown design and is manufactured out of leather.

I paid considerably more for this product (£21) when it first came out and now it is an absolute bargain of a price. I can recommend it.
